As a paid life member, the VFW must stop using the term closed post in voting down anyone member from becoming a post member period. Also turning down an assigment within must not be met with negative consequences. Thank you.

While I appreciate all our organizations that serve veterans...what I dont appreciate os getting unsolicited requests during the holiday season. I dont observe them...

This review is for the memorial and fountain outside. Like many things here in the Midwest, it is very understated. All branches of the Military are reflected- Army, Navy, Airforce, Marines, in a beautiful way. A solemn reminder of those who have given the umtimate sacrifice for freedom. A walkway with bricks enscribed with names, and wars, reflects that. It is most definitely worth taking a moment, putting passions, opinions, and convictions aside, and remembering.

No one does more for Veterans. Read some surprising “reviews” from fellow Comrades. My experience has been overwhelming positive. I’ve witnessed first hand vets taking care of vets through both my local post and National. Not all posts maybe good. If you are a Veteran struggling visit a couple posts. Welcome home.

Ron Cherry is a very capable and experienced Veterans’ representative. He handles his cases very professionally and is super cordial and respectful to the Veterans he serves. What an awesome asset to have him. We need more dedicated reps like Ron!

Salute to all VFW members. My problem is with with VFW or Auxiliary membership. After 22 years active duty, I am not even authorized to walk in a VFW and buy a beer for another Veteran. My MOS/AFSC was recruiting, and as thus it was Conus only assignments. Not asking for regular VFW membership, but my service does not even qualify me or thousands like me for any type of membership to include auxiliary. At a time when VFW membership is low and many VFW clubs are opening doors to everyone, this is a shame, and yes, I feel slighted by the rules. Again, Salute to VFW members, but there needs to be some type of membership or category for military retirees who served.

I love the local Post in my hometown and what we stand for; however, the National and State HQs and their officers sell member information for profit and spend more time on political agendas and raising money than on supporting the organization and it's members. Unfortunately, this organization will wither away when the older members they exploit all die off. This organization has become a commercial and political enterprise and it is no longer about vets supporting one-another and our communities. I used to be proud of this organization and my participation. Not anymore! To the leadership... Stop it! Stop trying to generate revenue. Instead support the activities of the local Posts, producing stronger local Posts would increase memberships along with dues. I never thought I'd be marketed to like I have been. I never would have given the VFW my information if I thought MY organization was going to sell it to others. Disappointed Life Member, Steve
